WHAT Program Content

Come get the latest information on the drug crisis in South County. THEN, learn how to be an advocate for prevention. In addition, there will be a short training session on the use of NARCAN the “recovery” method to avoid death and injury from OPIOD overdose. Following this training, a CPR certification class will give you another tool to be ready if a critical situation occurs.

If you are a parent, grand parent, teacher or just a good neighbor, this is information that could help you save a life.

WHY Impact to our community

Except for a slight increase during the pandemic year, the number of overdose cases in Anne Arundel County has decreased from 581 in 2018 to 416 years to date 2021. A total of 57 incidents occurred in South County alone. So far this year the county has documented 85 fatal cases, 13 of which happened in our neighborhood. We believe the efforts of our Police Department and programs like Bridges to a Drug Free South County, can make a difference with your support. Join us to be part of the solution.
